Sustaining Peace

We build all of Karuna Center's programs on a simple foundation: our shared need for a peaceful, sustainable future. We help people create new futures for themselves, their communities, and their local regions.  Your gift will fund programs in 2013 that will:

• Bring Israelis and Palestinians together to bridge deepening divides in the MidEast
  
• Launch a regional initiative to end gender-based violence in Rwanda, Burundi, and the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo
• Pilot a proactive approach to peacebuilding in rapidly developing regions, beginning with Mongolia, using dialogue processes to honor the concerns of everyday citizens.
  
• Create a model for peaceful schools with inner-city youth in the U.S., in partnership with the Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School in Holyoke, Massachusetts
