Karuna Center for Peacebuilding was founded in 1994 to address the growing global challenge of ethnic, religious, and political conflict.

Karuna organized a photography project with high school students in conflict ridden southern Senegal to foster positive views of Casamance culture and identity.

Nepali videographer Dil Bhusan Pathak's documentary about the CONTACT Peacebuilding Program includes interviews with Paula Green and Olivia Dreier, CONTACT faculty and Karuna directors.
